Kirk Pysher is Vice President and Chief Systems Engineer for the Sea Launch Company. He is responsible for the overall technical leadership and direction of the Sea Launch Company, including mission assurance, systems integration, Engineering Review Board, advanced systems development, configuration management, failure and anomaly investigation and resolution, marketing and proposal support, and launch support engineering. He reports to the President and General Manager. Prior to this position, he was Sea Launch’s Deputy Chief Systems Engineer.

Pysher came to Sea Launch in 1999 from Boeing’s Delta launch services business in Huntington Beach, Calif. (formerly a McDonnell Douglas business, now part of United Launch Alliance). Over a period of 12 years, he worked in increasingly responsible positions on all of the Delta expendable launch vehicles.

Pysher graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering. In 1994, he was honored with several McDonnell Douglas awards for his work on the Iridium Dispenser Development Team.
