The Odyssey Launch Platform and the Sea Launch Commander have rendezvoused at sea and, now traveling three miles apart, they are approaching the launch site on the Equator. Helicopter operations provide a photo opportunity to capture the two vessels underway.

The daily weather forecast is a significant part of the Mission Director's morning meeting. All segments of the launch team report their status during this daily meeting.

As on every mission, the highlight of the evenings are the dramatic sunsets. The decks are often crowded with spectators to view nature's spectacular sign-off.
