January 5 - The weather has been mixed between rain and hot, steamy sunshine. The rain comes in cloudbursts from storm cells.

Alexey Shumilin, Deputy Lead for Rocket Operations, observes the oncoming storm from the forward walkway of the Odyssey Launch Platform.

With the storms, the air is clearer than usual, allowing a better view of
the Sea Launch Commander, about three miles away.
