June 26 - As the 72-hour countdown ticks away, activity revs up at the launch site.

Mila Pavek, manager of security and safety, prepares crew members on the Sea Launch Commander for their early morning flight aboard the helicopter to the Odyssey Launch Platform. Flights between the two vessels are ongoing during launch site preparations.

All clear as helicopter operations begin.

Mila Pavek and Racquel Biticon, immigration coordinator, complete the morning’s helicopter operations. The two ensure everyone is accounted for when moving between the vessels and assist in loading and unloading personnel onto the helicopter and link bridge.

Bill Hayes, spacecraft mission manager for Space Systems/Loral, presents a seascape painting to Captain Tormod Hansen as a token of his thanks for the excellent service he has received aboard the Sea Launch Commander. Hayes created the painting during the transit to the launch site.
