June 27 - Preparations for launch are everywhere today as the linkbridge operations begin. The link bridge is a footbridge between the two vessels, enabling members of the launch team and marine crew to transit back and forth as needed.

The Sea Launch Commander maneuvers into place alongside the Odyssey Launch Platform for link bridge operations.

Bjorn Alfheim, safety officer on the Odyssey supervises the securing of the link bridge. Link Bridge operations start before dawn and continue into the night.

The telescopic link bridge swings out from the ship’s starboard side and is secured on the platform’s port side.
