June 9 - The Sea Launch team transfers the Integrated Launch Vehicle from the assembly hall of the Sea Launch Commander to the main deck of the Odyssey Launch Platform. With two crane cables from above in the Launch Platform, attached to yellow brackets on the 1st and 2nd stages, the rocket slowly rises from its support cradle on the stern ramp of the ship....

 


...to the hangar on the Launch Platform, 200 feet above.

From here, the rocket is lowered onto the transporter-erector. Once it is safely tucked in, the forward doors and floor of the hangar close and the operation is complete.
