Test of Integrated Launch Vehicle on the Launch Pad
- On July 11, the Integrated Launch Vehicle was rolled out of the hangar atop
the Launch Platform and lifted to a vertical position, where it stood erect
for about 12 hours. During this time, the Sea Launch team tested various
electrical and communications systems. Following these tests, the vehicle
was lowered down to a horizontal position and rolled back into the hangar.
The next step in the launch preparation process will be the departure of the
Launch Platform from Home Port, which is scheduled for July 13.
