S7 Group announcing an Agreement to Purchase Sea Launch
Guadalajara, Mexico, 27 September, 2016 – Sea Launch SA and S7 Group today announced that an agreement regarding Sea Launch assets purchase was reached between the two Parties.
The transaction still has to be approved by the US government agencies – the Directorate of Defense Trade Control (US Department of State) and the Foreign Investment Committee of the United States (CFIUS) a process that could take several months.
Also today S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (“Energia”) (RTS: RKKE) and the S7 Group signed an agreement on cooperation and joint work to resume operations of “Sea Launch” program. “Energia” will provide S7 Group with the necessary engineering and launch support, as well as system integration services.
